Smartparts SP24PC and SP35PC touch-sensitive Digital Frames
Smartparts releases two new ultra slim touch-sensitive digital photo frames, the 2.4-inch SP24PC and the 3.5-inch SP35PC. Both of them have a 320×240 touchscreen display. These digital frames have SD/MMC card slot, and mini USB port.

They have internal storage that can hold up to 50 JPEG images. The Smartparts SP24PC and SP35PC are priced at $39.99 and $49.99 respectively.

Along with the SP24PC and SP35PC, Smartparts introduces SPX10 and SPX19, two new WiFi digital photo frames. The SPX10 has a 10-inch 24-bit 800×600 LCD display while the SPX19 comes with a 19-inch 1448×800 LCD screen.

Both SPX10 and SPX19 support WiFi and include Microsoft’s Windows Live FrameIt application that allows users to share and view photos online directly on the frames. In addition to 512MB internal memory, both frames support SD, MS, xD, MMC, Compact Flash memory cards.

The 10-inch SPX10WF is priced at $199.99 and 19-inch SPX19WF at $299.99. They will be available in March 2009.

Pioneer DV-420V 1080p upconverting DVD player

Pioneer announced the new DV-420V, a 1080p upscaling DVD player at the CES 20009. Other than DVD playback with upconvertion, the Pioneer DV-420V plays also DivX WMV video; MP3, AAC audio and JPEG images stored on USB drives.

The DV-420V can even do MP3 encoding and immediately transferred MP3 files to a USB flash drive.

The Pioneer DV-420V will be available in Summer 2009 for $90. It has S-video and HDMI outputs.

Alpine iXA-W404 Touchscreen Digital Media Station
Other than two multimedia navigators, Alpine announced the new iXA-W404, a 2-DIN touchscreen digital media station. Alpine iXA-W404 features a 4.3-inch QVGA touchscreen, AM/FM tuner and a USB port for connecting iPod or iPhone.

The iXA-W404 includes satellite radio and static-free HD Radio with additional TUA-T550HD HD Radio Tuner ($230) and KCA-SC100 SIRIUS Satellite Radio Interface ($80).

The device is Bluetooth-ready. By adding the KCE-400BT Bluetooth Interface Module ($180), the iXA-W404 will get Bluetooth for hands-free calling. Users can also turn the media station into a navigation system by adding the optional Alpine NVE-P1 Navigation Drive and PMD-DOK2 Docking Station.

Alpine iXA-W404 has three pairs of 2V pre-outs and a built-in 18W RMS x 4 amplifier. It will be available in April for $550. The NVE-P1 Navigation Drive is priced at $350 while the PMD-DOK2 Docking Station costs $230.
